Project Description

Walt+Galmarini dipl.ing ETH SIA USIC, Zürich engaged VMS d.o.o. Belgrade under subcontract for structural
design services. Hirslanden Clinic is a modern private clinic, that belongs to the Hirsladen group, the leading medical corporation in Switzerland.
The scope of this project was the design of a new hospital block named Gartentrakt (designed by SAM Architekten AG ), a building that consists of three underground levels and two levels above ground with overall dimensions of 80x55m, 19m high and with a total area of 26.400m2. The building includes an underground garage, radiology and technical rooms, operating rooms, intensive care premises, and rooms for patients. The structure is made of RC and steel. Slabs and walls are made of RC and columns are made of precasted RC. Light wells, stairs, and strengthening elements for some parts of the building are made of steel. Currently, the design
of a new hospital block named Enzenbühtrakt is in progress, (designed by Schmid Schnebli Architekten AG). This building is made of RC and consists of three underground levels, a ground floor, and four floors above with a total area of 17.000m2.
